Part 1

At this time ( 3am Colorado time) 3 years ago, poor Rebeca was laboring away on a yoga ball. We were sent home from the hospital three times and she was DONE. I was keeping track of her contractions but they NEVER became regular. Never. Her mom and aunt were also there for moral support.

We started the day at 6am with her waking me up to tell me that she was bleeding a little bit. We called the hospital and went in around 7am. As soon as we got to the hospital the contractions stopped so we were sent home after being monitored for a couple of hours. We ate breakfast at The Eg.g and I, laughing that no one knew that she was actually in labor. :) She had to pause while ordering to breathe through a contraction. lol

On the way home she called her parents and let them know what what was happening. Her mom and aunt hit the road for the 4 hour drive. By the time they arrived we were at the hospital for the second time. We thought the contractions were showing some sort of pattern. ha. Drove home again, this time stopping for Wendy's. As soon as we stepped over the threshold of our house, the contractions started again, this time stronger. We continued to time contractions ALLLLLLL night long. Rebeca needed some isolation so we retired to our room to bounce and watch dumb TV.

Rebeca decided it was time to go back to the hospital at 4am. She ordered me to bring our bag into the hospital because she was NOT going home again. :) She had to be dilated to 5 to be admitted but when we arrived she was only a 2-3. Nurses were trying all their tricks to help out. At the 6am shift change the nurse came in and said we may have to go home. Rebeca almost broke down. She was so tired and completely spent. But Ta-dah! When she was checked she was finally a 5. Twenty-four hours of labor down just 12 more to go.

To be continued...
